Grand Lake 2009

We just got home from a relaxing, fun-filled visit to Oklahoma. It was a special trip because it was the first time since our wedding that all of the siblings were able to be together. Plus now we have spouses and kids! Will met his Aunt Christina, Stephen, Aunt Emily, Uncle Ben, Cate and Drew for the first time also. He loved meeting everyone especially the kids. His favorite thing to do is watch kids run around....I think he's envious!

Will did wonderfully on the flights. We have the airplane rountine down pat. We have a bottle at take-off and then he falls asleep for most of the flight. When he wakes up, he's in a great mood and laughs and plays with everyone around us. He attracts alot of attention especially from the flight attendants. This was the first time our flight back to Denver was completely uneventful! No delays, stalled cars or layovers. Thank goodnes!!

We spent the two weekends we were in Tulsa at my parents house. Will has started to notice Sadie (Mom's dog) and tries to pull her ears when she walks by. She just ignores him. During the week, we were at Grand Lake with David's family. We went on the boat, went swimming, watched movies, and ate and drank alot! It was a great way to catch up with the family. Will did really well on the boat...he actually fell asleep both times! The weather was nice, not too hot and not too rainy.
I'm ready to fly!
We celebrated David's 29th birthday while we were there
Will's first boat ride

David got a new car yesterday! Since the Senate approved more money for the Cash for Clunkers program, he decided it was time to make the change. He bought a 2009 Subaru Forester in dark grey. We all love riding in it and weren't a bit sad to get rid of the Jeep!!

Breckenridge = FAIL

We left for the mountains around 5pm last night. Will slept for the first hour and then decided he'd had enough of the car ride and cried for the last 45 mins. We checked into the hotel (very nice condo, Trails' End) and got him ready for bed. We spent the next 3-4 hours trying to get him to sleep. He was so upset that I had to give him Tylenol just so he could get 2 hours of sleep. David and I barely got any sleep because we kept thinking he was going to wake up. He finally woke up around 6am after only sleeping for a total of 5 hours. We fed him breakfast and started to get ready for the day...and then Will threw up everywhere! We knew something was wrong because he never does that. He was acting fine so we waited awhile and tried a bottle.....more throw up. So we decided to pack up the car and head home at 8am Saturday morning. We have never taken Will into the mountains so we think he was having issues with the altitude. I felt so bad for taking him up there! We are home now and everyone is heathly and happy.
